I have a Bachelor of social work degree and am qualified as a mental health social worker. I have practised clinical work in case management and counselling work for the past 25 years across a wide variety of areas including: drug & alcohol, homelessness, disabilities and community mental health. For the past thirteen years I have worked as part of community mental health teams across Australia mostly with adult clients.
I work with Focused Psychological Therapies including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness and Problem solving techniques.
Each person’s story is unique, so I tailor my approach to fit your individual needs. Using evidence-based practices like cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and problem solving techniques, I aim to support your emotional wellbeing and personal growth in a way that feels right for you.
My work is strongly client centred, collaborative and holistic to assist people address such issues as anxiety, depression, adjustment issues, transitions, grief/loss, carer stress, workplace issues and addictions.
I also offer assistance for post suicide support where family members have lost loved one to suicide.
I offer a compassionate and caring approach where people can feel safe to explore their issues in a supportive environment.
I work with adult clients only between the age of 20 – 60 years.
I do not treat Workcover, Victims of Crime or TAC clients.
I am available for one to one counselling on Monday to Tuesday from 9-6pm, Thursday to Friday 9-3pm
